Following my Thisislincolnshire.co.uk critique, Martin Stabe reports on his Press Gazette blog that “journalists at Northcliffe Media’s regional titles have begun geocoding stories as the group prepares to introduce geographical targeting on the “next generation” websites that it has continued rolling out this week.”

Dave Lee, The Linc’s founder and former University of Lincoln’s journalism student, has been shortlisted in two categories for the Press Gazette (PG) Student Journalism Awards this year. The event is free to enter and is intended to be a showcase for tomorrow’s journalistic talent, with many previous winners going on to national press stardom.

It’s a bit strange sometimes how some certain stories do not make it into top news. A good example is the story of the elderly Palestinian and his family, whom were attacked by a Jewish settlers group.
