About me/CV
I am 19 years old and am currently enrolled at the University of Lincoln on the second year of a Journalism degree. I also write and sub for The Linc student newspaper at the university, carrying out the role as deputy editor.
I am now about to start my second year of my degree and intend to specialise in online/print journalism.
My work placement experience has mostly, up to now, been centred around print journalism - working with the East Anglian Daily Times in 2005 and most recently the Lincolnshire Echo in May, 2008. Researching my own leads and contributing to editions not only gave me a huge sense of achievement but a few useful contacts!
Of course, The Linc offers a great foundation to base and present work on. I gather that while i’m always looking for work experience in the industry i can make my own; what with the The Linc now being distributed in numerous consumer outlets locally in Lincoln city and being not campus-bound anymore, readership continues to grow.
